Probably the biggest battle for productivity is fighting the barrage of psychologically manipulative social technologies that have been designed to make us feel we are not enough, have missed out and need to keep clicking.
These both sound fantastic. Thanks for sharing them. I can wholly relate to the accountability element of sharing a space with someone else doing work. Especially for creative work. Working from home is fine when the work comes without the possibility for idleness, like customer service where incoming cases are a constant. You can’t become idle that way, but when it’s self driven and requires focus having someone else is huge. So thank you for sharing these. 😊
Yeah, I find Focusmate excellent and have made so many great friends on it - it’s like colleagues and travelling without leaving home! The only downside for me is that the sessions are too short sometimes, I’d love the option of 2hr or 4hr sessions for deep work. Other than that though, I adore it 😊
